Comments : Arrived carefully packaged, as for performance, so far so good. What a joy it is bypassing my Cable/Internet provider's excessive charges to enable wireless access when I'm already paying an exorbitant fee for their regular broadband. And what a hoot, that I can arrange it so the entire floor of my building can use it. Ha! / 2010-09-10T16:23+0000

 | | Could have been better | September - 10 - 2010 | | | by Ying Cha from CA, USA
Could use some improvements.
Upgraded to a Razor Naga from a Logitech G9 so I miss the weight and size of my G9. The weight helps stability while you are mashing mouse buttons. The Razor Naga feels really light compared to it. Feels like it'll fly out your hands.
Also the two little side mouse buttons are very hard to press. They are flush with the big left mouse button so yeah makes it hard to click. Would have been nice if the two little mouse buttons were raised a little or had a little spacing from the Left mouse button.
Other then that, I love the number pad buttons on it. Very handy for MMO games.
| | | | | | Awesome gamer mouse. | September - 08 - 2010 | | | by PikaChika This was for a present for my boyfriend for Christmas. He really loves it and it was one of his wish list items. I was so shocked that I got him this. He still plays it on WoW. The configurations buttons for the game are so simple to operate and customize. Nice tough cord, which I was surprised it was not plastic. It is really reliable for the gamer.
| | | | | | Great addition to the arsenal of any gamer | September - 02 - 2010 | | | by Christopher S. Trent (Knuckles) from Deployed
First off I will start with the appearance of the Naga. I have the backlit Blue LED version (not sure if there are any other colors) and I have to say that the matte finish with the gloss black makes for a nice combination with the blue illumination (which can be turned off if you like as well). This mouse just looks hot sitting on any surface.
As for the physical feel it is a bit smaller than I am accustomed to, but it is designed for long MMORPG sessions so I can see why they kept size and weight low, however I sometimes feel I am in danger of crushing the mouse when playing other games such as first person shooters or realtime strategy games. Also when navigating web paces, the traditional Forward/Backward buttons are placed in an extremely odd position near the left click that makes moving the index finger a bit of a chore.
For usability this mouse is at the top of it's class. The 17 buttons all have a good tactile feedback to them, so you know they have been pressed, the thumb grid can be keyed to the Number Row on the top of the keyboard (1 through =) or the number pad giving it great flexibility. The 5600dpi max resolution is insanely precise, its difficult to imagine anyone playing any game that would need such a high degree of precision, but its there for you to try out.
The configurability is excellent too, the number pad/key row switch is located at the bottom of the mouse, making it hard to "accidentally" toggle the function. The configurator software is excellent, giving you options for everything from polling rate to backlighting and maintenance. There is even a section for generating specific profiles for your gameplay issues (e.g. high sensitivity for those shooter games so you can snipe and lower sensitivity for the RTS games so you aren't scrolling past your targets).
There is a Razer backed World of Warcraft Addon for this mouse that I personally don't use, but I have been told it can be useful. Also this is the only mouse I have seen to have a game specific addon made for it, just showing how much support the Razer Team puts into their product.
And at last we come to reliability. Sadly I have to give it an average rating here as I personally experienced having my Naga "die" on me. One day the mouse simply stopped responding to any movement commands, but retained the clicking function. I tried everything I normally do for such issues (unplugging, rebooting, cleaning, re-install drivers, disable all other USB devices, check to see if USB ports are on "power-save", etc.). Eventually I contacted the Razer support staff and went through their steps (identical to the ones I had taken, but I followed them out of protocol anyway) and they came to the conclusion that the sensor was dead. I have had an optical laser mouse (a Microsoft Sidewinder) for almost 5 years and it still works fine, however this Naga I bought lasted less than 3 months. However, the issue was resolved and my Naga was replaced (by a refurbished model, so who knows how long I have left on this one) and I have yet to see any problems with it.
| | | | | | Great Mouse for Gaming | September - 02 - 2010 | | | by WoW Player 12 buttons are a lot to fit on one mouse so I really only use the 2,4,6 & 8 with ease. The rest are a little awkward and tend to make me click the left or right button when I try to use them which is a little unfortunate. Of course I don't have ideal coordination. It is still nice to have the extra buttons as options if I want to try and train myself to use them more adeptly.
| | | | | | best mouse I have ever used | August - 28 - 2010 | | | by PA Really surprised. I thought the extra buttons would be overkill, but they are all useful. FPS's work fantastic on the mouse-being able to map your guns, gernades, etc.. on to the other buttons is a big plus. The two front/back buttons are in bad spots for web browsing and are out of reach for any real use. Not a big deal as I mapped the 1/2 number buttons to the front/back buttons for browsing. Build quality is solid and mouse movement is smooth. Best mouse I have ever used.
